Second
Annual "Love Listens" Campaign
Love listens.
Does it ever!
Thanks
to an overwhelming response from our supporters in 2009, the second
annual "Love Listens" campaign is launched in time for
Valentine's Day 2010.
Our 2009
"Love Listens" campaign was enormously successful and
allowed us to purchase stethoscopes, digital thermometers, and blood
pressure cuffs for health care providers at four hospitals in Lesotho.
Will you help make our 2010 campaign even more successful?
Doctors,
nurses, and nursing students face incredible challenges while caring
for patients in hospitals in Lesotho. Many care for patients
without the basic tools of their trade - stethoscopes, thermometers,
and blood pressure cuffs.
Can
you imagine going for a medical examination and finding that the
nurse doesn't have something as basic and essential as a stethoscope?
What we can't imagine is the every day reality for thousands of
children in Lesotho.
Help
us care for thousands of children in Africa and make your tax-deductible
contribution today. Donate $50.00
or any other amount to be used for the purchase
of basic medical equipment and supplies.
If you
make your donation before February 14th in honor of someone you
love , we will send that person a note or email acknowledging
your generous donation on their behalf as well as spending them
a virtual dozen red roses.
Your donation
is the perfect Valentine's Day gift!

As a result
of our "Love Listens" campaign, all 165 doctors, nurses,
and nursing students at Scott
Hospital, Morija, Lesotho have received a brand new stethoscope!
In the
words of Mrs. Matsutsu, Director of Student Nursing at Scott Hospital
when confirming delivery of the stethoscopes, "We promise that
we will use them accordingly and they are going to make our work
easy. May God bless you and long life to SHARED and its Donors".
And
there's more!
Thanks
to the generous support of our donors, SHARED has purchased stethoscopes
for every doctor, nurse, and nursing student at Berea
and Motebang hospitals.
And
there's more!

Thirty
five stethoscopes were given to staff at Maluti
hospital. 110 digital thermometers and 56 blood pressure
cuffs were donated to Berea, Motebang and Maluti hospitals.
