Eco Tourism

The premise of eco-tourism is to travel in a manner that both conserves the environment and raises awareness to improve the economic and cultural welfare of local people.  An international volunteer program may be your eco-tourism trip of choice, or perhaps staying at a Bed & Breakfast or inn that provides educational programs on environmental issues and funding to an eco-friendly organization may be more your speed.  However you choose to travel, SHARED has suggestions of destinations that meet both the environmentally-friendly and the socially progressive facets of eco-tourism. Our Eco Tourism Directory is currently under construction.  We are busy working with the owners of inns, resorts, and tour agencies to certify their credentials as Eco Tourism destinations.   SHARED is honored to work with such businesses and a directory of Eco Tourism destinations that are part of the " Shop for SHARED ” program will be available soon.
